Refund policy

Passes are one-time payments, so this is simple. If something isn’t right, email hello@lockinstudy.site and we’ll sort it out.

Changed your mind? 48 hours

You can ask for a full refund within 48 hours of buying a pass, as long as it hasn’t been substantially used. For example, if you bought the wrong pass, bought twice by mistake, or realised in the first day that Lock in isn’t for you.

“Substantially used” means the pass has been used for much more than trying it out, such as several study sessions, full practice exams, or lots of AI marking.

After 48 hours

After 48 hours, or once a pass has been substantially used, we don’t give refunds for change of mind, except where the law requires.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there’s a major failure with the service, for example it doesn’t work and we can’t fix it in a reasonable time, you’re entitled to a refund for the unused part of your pass whenever it happens. This policy doesn’t limit those rights.

How to ask for a refund

Seller: Lock In, an independent online study service run from Australia. Lock In doesn’t have an ABN and isn’t registered for GST. Contact: hello@lockinstudy.site.

  1. Email hello@lockinstudy.site from the email address you used at checkout.
  2. Include your key or the Stripe receipt, and a sentence on what happened.
  3. We’ll reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days. The key stops working once refunded.

The free day

The free day costs nothing, so there’s nothing to refund. It’s the best way to check Lock in suits you before you pay.

Before you dispute a charge

Please email us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly, and a refund is usually faster than a bank dispute.
